About the Role:
As a Technical Support Specialist at Talus, you will be a vital resource for our internal Business and Integration teams, providing timely and effective technical assistance to ensure their operational efficiency. Your strong technical aptitude and dedication to problem-solving will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support to the Business and Integration teams, addressing a wide range of software and system-related inquiries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to application functionality, database configurations, and system integrations.
- Configure and maintain database environments, primarily focusing on SQL Server.
- Develop and execute SQL scripts to support data analysis, reporting, and system maintenance. (Please note: Candidates will be required to pass a SQL skills assessment.)
- Apply your knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including ESRI and FME, to support related team needs.
- Understand and implement network and database security requirements to ensure data integrity and system security.
- Demonstrate a high technical aptitude and proactively learn new technologies and applications relevant to the role.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills in managing support requests and documentation.
- Utilize strong troubleshooting methodologies to diagnose and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of active experience in an application support role.
- Proficient in database configuration, specifically for SQL Server.
- Experienced in database scripting using SQL.
- Familiarity with GIS systems, including ESRI and FME.
- Understanding of network and database security best practices.
- High technical aptitude with a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Proven strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
