David Morrison to present at PNEC 2018
The focus of this year’s Petroleum Network Education Conference (PNEC) is to explore emerging trends and promote excellence in global petroleum and information management. In view of this theme, David Morrison, President and CEO of Talus Technologies, has been selected to present his research on the economics of storing data online. His presentation, titled “A new approach to seismic data storage”, reviews the direct costs associated to managing seismic data.
David has a background in accounting and his research reveals five misconceptions regarding the value and cost of the different data storage options available. He provides a unique perspective of the capital cost of data storage versus the ultimate need of data visibility. His presentation reflects his expertise in the software development lifecycle and his domain knowledge in exploration data management. David will be presenting Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 8:30 am at PNEC in Houston.
Separately, in the exhibit hall, Talus will be presenting demonstrations of the newest functionalities in Exploration Archives at booth 301 on May 22-24. For a free pass to visit us in the exhibit hall, contact Talus.
